As we celebrate the 30th anniversary of EFCCA, I would like to thank God for sending so many faithful men and women of God to serve the English congregation. I would first like to thank God for using Sharon Liao to equip the lives of so many young people, such as Lida, Enoch and Emily Zhang. She taught them step by step what it means to love and serve God. She not only taught them, but also became that very example herself.

It was also Sharon Liao who helped me learn more about the English congregation and introduced me to Lida, Enoch and many others. Without her, I would not have been able to get to know the members of the English congregation so quickly and build friendships with them.

I also want to thank God for sending Pastor Tina to care so faithfully for the English congregation. She ministered to the young people with extraordinary love, patience and care, and I saw many of them experience God’s love through her pastoral ministry.

I especially thank God for sending Wilson and Vuitton’s parents, Billy Lin and Cindy Zhuang, to serve the English congregation while my father was receiving treatment for his heart condition. Their care and love for the congregation, then and now, are beyond words. They continue to serve by supporting the parents’ fellowship.

Lastly, I thank God for the wonderful co-workers He has given me: Michael Dong, Mike Lu, Blandon Leung, Sophia Feng, Frances Huang, Peter Dun, Frank Zhao and Christine Zhang. God has used them in remarkable ways across the ministries of the English congregation. I would also like to acknowledge our mentors—Sophia Feng, Frances Huang, Peter Dun, Mike Lu and Frank Zhao. Their willingness and commitment have enabled the English congregation to begin a new chapter by forming youth cell groups that provide deeper care, connection and discipleship.

As I said at the beginning, I thank God for sending so many faithful men and women to serve the English congregation. Ultimately, God Himself is the greatest Shepherd, pastoring and strengthening His people. It is our privilege to take part in His story. Amen.
